What is life in the Spirit?

It is our life reformed by Him

As we are restored to favour in Jesus our Saviour.

By this means we access holiness

The Spirit offering all fullness to us,

In and through the Person of Jesus:

Jesus is the way to live

To give glory to God.

Jesus is the truth of God’s love

Clearly spelled out for us.

Jesus offers us the Spirit of Goodness,

A share in His own holiness.

Jesus reveals the power of holy love,

Creating for us a new spiritual identity.

“The Holy Spirit longs to find the gates of our heart so that He may enter and dwell there, and sanctify it, and He goes round and about to all the gates to see where He may enter.” EphraIm the Syrian

Jesus’ love is beauty shaped visibly,

Always sourced by the Holy Spirit.

Jesus offers us the merit of wisdom,

Not in a worldly sense, but that which is holy.

Jesus is brought newly alive in us,

By His very own Spirit at work with us,

Making Jesus King in everything.

Jesus our focus, our life’s fullness now

And our hope of reaching heaven.

His Spirit ever accompanies us

A Counsellor, Advocate and Paraclete.

In the risen Jesus we meet with the Spirit.

In the Spirit we meet with Jesus as Lord and Saviour.

In this way, as we pray, we discover

The full love and mercy of our Father and its results.

“ ‘I am the resurrection and the life. (S)he who believes in Me, though (s)he may die, (s)he shall live’.” John 11 v 25

“ ‘And whoever lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this’?” John 11 v 26

Yes, Lord, I do, for You come to us as God’s truth and truth cannot lie. Therefore You are as You describe Yourself to be. I read very recently a reminder as to how we are surrounded by resurrection as day always follows night. And new life springs up from the ground after a resting, a none productive but necessary time. May we be productive in Your service Lord Jesus, as led by the Spirit of love. Let us pray.
